As I've gotten older, I think my style has gotten a lot simpler. Of course, I can still appreciate those who live in big, beautiful prints and colors, but my closet has definitely been toned down to a neutral zone. A lot of it had to do when I stopped buying cheap trendy items and started investing in some pricier basics that I could wear forever.

Every little girl has at least played dress up in her mom's closet once, whether it be trying on giant floppy hats or sky-high heels. My mom's closet has definitely gotten better with age. Before, it was filled with practical pieces from Talbot's, boring to the imagination of a 5 year old -- but now, it's filled with dreamy names like Prada, Chanel and Hermes.

This past weekend, the pup and I were in St. Louis. It was his first time flying (with me at least) and I was beyond anxious about flying with my old, slightly too big to be a small, rescue dog. Was he going to cry the whole time? Puke? Have a panic attack? Was I going to cry the whole time? Puke? Have a panic attack? Cue frantic scouring of the internet for tips and tricks. I found this amazing website called Dog Jaunt, which had tons of articles on how to make your and your dog's trip as stress-free as possible. I figured I would talk about my own experience to add to the plethora of dog-flying information that is out there, because the stories of people's (good) experiences were what really started to put me at ease when I was doing my research.
So after reading nearly every single review of some top carriers, I bought the Sturdibag XL. I was in between the large and x-large size, but Teddy is a little bit longer and taller than your average "small dog" so I figured a couple more inches of space would help to make the trip more enjoyable. When it arrived, I was a little concerned by how MASSIVE it was. At 20" long x 12" tall, this is no compact carrier.

This is abysmally late, but happy 2016~ what a year 2015 was! I became a mother to a grumpy old rescue dog, graduated college, packed up everything and moved to New York to start my first "adult job" ... and with that first adult job came the need for my first adult purse. Enter, "the Chloe" as my friends and I call it. It was love at first sight.

When it comes to bottoms, I usually stick with my trusty black skinny jeans. You really can't go wrong with them -- they're classic, slimming, and essentially go with everything. However, a great way to refresh a tired outfit is to swap in a pair of olive green cargo joggers. This is a tried-and-true outfit that has been on repeat all season.
